- Winners will be picked by a committee within Opera Software A/S.
- First prize may be used as the default buttonset in the Opera program in the future.
- If your buttonset is used in the Opera browser, credits will be given in the Opera program box: "About Opera"
- All winners will be posted on this site after March 5, 1999.
- 3 prizes will be awarded; buttonset categories are irrelevant.

- Winners will be chosen by popular vote, which will be conducted via this webpage.
- A voting poll will be posted here on February 22, 1999, and votes for eligible buttonsets will be collected until March 4, 1999.
- Voting will be conducted in a fair manner. Multiple votes by the same person for the same buttonset will not be accepted.
- All winners will be posted on this site after March 5, 1999.
- 3 prizes will be awarded; buttonset categories are irrelevant.
Prizes will be awarded as follows.

2nd place - $50 + T-shirt.

You can download whole button sets that other Opera users have created if you want to try out this great new feature. Click on a category below to view a page of preview images and download links.

 "GRAB-BAG" (Miscellaneous sets and buttons).
To install one of these custom button sets:
- Create a new folder under your \Opera\Buttons\ folder (call it whatever you want), then extract the contents of the downloaded zip file to that new folder.
- In Opera under the "Preferences" menu select "Button- and Statusbar..."
- Beneath "Image set" click the button and navigate to the folder you created in step 1, then select "buttons.ini" or the available file with the ".ini" extension.
To get the original Opera buttons back, follow steps 2 and 3 above. The Opera\Buttons\Default directory is where the original buttons and the file buttons.ini are stored.
Note: Several of these buttonsets are .exe files. After you have downloaded one of these sets, you can install it by clicking on the downloaded file. It will guide you through the process.
Large toolbar icons....Opera 3.5x
3xSince Opera 3.5x has a button structure that is changed from previous versions, you will no longer be able to select the option for large buttons under 'Preferences/Button and Status bar'.
You still have to option to use large buttons, though.

In this zip file is a README. Follow the instructions in this README.txt for installing your large buttons in Opera.
