Instructions for Opera 3x:

Although the button set can be chosen from the Opera user interface, you may also set the button set directly in the opera.ini file. You can do so by editing the following line in the opera.ini file:

[USER PREFS]
BUTTON DIRECTORY= The file path to where the button set file and pictures reside.
BUTTON SET= The name of file containing the button settings. This is a file with the extension ".ini" You will need to specify the full file path here if this file is not located in the above specified BUTTON DIRECTORY.

Opera's button bar can be customized in all Opera 3.x versions. (If you are using a later version, please click here.) In order to do so, you must set the button bar type to Full. You can do this by pulling down the Preferences menu, selecing Button- and Statusbar and selecting Full in the Button Bar section of the window. Then add the following to your opera.ini file:

[TOOLBAR]
SHOW NEW BUTTON=1
SHOW OPEN BUTTON=0
SHOW SAVE BUTTON=1
SHOW PRINT BUTTON=1
SHOW COPY BUTTON=1
SHOW SEARCH BUTTON=0
SHOW PREV BUTTON=1
SHOW RELOAD BUTTON=1
SHOW NEXT BUTTON=1
SHOW HOME BUTTON=1
SHOW OPEN URL BUTTON=1
SHOW HOT LIST BUTTON=1
SHOW TILE BUTTON=0
SHOW CASCADE BUTTON=0

0 means off, or no. 1 means on, or yes. You can set the above parameters as you please.
